We offer the Basic Pistol course that is required to obtain a carry permit in the state of Connecticut , as well as most others. The objective of this course is to teach you the basic skills, knowledge and attitude necessary for the safe and proper use of pistols and revolvers.

Classes are held in Danbury , CT. We strive to provide a comfortable and relaxed environment to make learning as easy as possible.  By keeping the classes small, we allow for personalized attention and assured comprehension of the materials.

The Basic Pistol Course is 120.00 (this is an inclusive amount, no hidden fees) Guns and ammo provided.  Eye and ear protection will also be available if needed.

I do offer individual training at your location, contact me via phone or e-mail to make arrangements and discuss rates.

The course is offered on the first and third Saturday of each month. The class starts between 9 and 9:30 am.  I will attempt to schedule classes for weekday evenings if requested.  You must register for the class in advance.

Steps for obtaining a pistol permit in the State of Connecticut :

• Go to your local police station; they will issue you the necessary forms and their specific requirements. These requirements change from town to town.
• Take a Basic Pistol course taught by an NRA Certified Instructor.
• Submit your paperwork, along with the obligatory fees.
• Get fingerprinted by your local police department.
• Wait approximately. 6 weeks for background checks then get your temporary permit.
• Take your temporary permit to a State Police office and have your photo taken along with the obligatory fees.
• Go buy a gun; you’ve earned it.
